We are proud to announce the brand new conference programme and the release of delegates places for the 30th Propulsion & Emissions Conference 2008, 21st - 22nd May in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The 30th Motorship Propulsion & Emissions Conference is the shipping and emission control technologies event of the year and is once again held in association with BIMCO (The Baltic and International Maritime Council), the world’s largest organisation and supported by SEAaT(Shipping Emissions and Abatement Trading association), the cross-industry body of shipping and oil industry.

The two day event will feature top speakers from prestigious companies within the marine industry, these include; The Wärtsilä Corporation, DNV Research & Innovation, Chevron Global Marine Products, MTU, Maersk Fluid, Wilhelmsen Marine Consultants, A P Moller - Maersk A/S, Caterpillar Marine and ABB. The speakers will be presenting informative papers on the following topics;

  • The environmental effects of shipping
  • Prime mover technology
  • Alternative propulsion systems
  • Lubrication and fuel, Owners’ perspective
  • After-treatment of exhaust gas
  • Advanced propulsion concepts
  • and a brand new Port Perspective Session - discussing emissions limitation strategies within ports and terminals and the carbon issue.

The conference will also feature the Owner-Supplier debate which is an opportunity for owners to confront a panel of suppliers to discuss, in an open debate, key issues and concerns affecting technical aspects of the shipping world.
