2009 Call for papers and conference theme announced

The 31st Annual Motorship Propulsion & Emissions Conference 2009, will once again be held in association with BIMCO & SEAaT and takes place on 26 & 27 May 2009 in the historic maritime city of Copenhagen, Denmark.
The theme for the 2009 Conference is 'Saving fuel for lower costs and lower emissions'. The Conference focuses on key topics affecting the global shipping industry, with particular emphasis on environmental issues. High calibre speakers will present papers on marine propulsion and emissions topics which include among others; advanced propulsion systems - with particular reference to diesel-electric, gas turbine, hybrid and LNG propulsion systems,lubricants - new products developments & green lubricants, alternative fuels, propulsion-related classification and regulatory issues and future emission limitations.

The conference chairman will once again be Mr Lars Carlsson, Chairman of the Executive Committee for Shipping Emissions and Abatement Trading (SEAaT), the cross industry body of shipping and oil industry members working for cost-efficient ways to reduce harmful ship emissions.
