Dr Jan de Kat is currently holds the position Senior Director, Head of Innovation, Technical Organisation, A.P. Moller-Maersk, Copenhagen. Dr Jan de Kat between 2000 and 2006 was the Research Director at the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN), where he started working in 1989. he holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in naval architecture from University of California at Berkeley and a B.Eng. degree from Univ. of New South Wales, Sydney.
