Using Alternative Fuels to Clean Up U.S. Container Ports
James S. Cannon is President of Energy Futures, Inc., founded in 1979 to study energy and related environmental issues in the transportation sector. Energy Futures publishes independent reports on the use of alternative fuels and advanced technologies in transportation applications. He has published six books and several reports on these topics. His most recent report, U.S. Container Ports and Air Pollution: A Perfect Storm, was released in February 2008. Mr. Cannon’s research into alternative fuels and advanced transportation technologies has taken him to most states in the USA and to 23 other countries on 5 continents. Energy Futures also publishes the international journal, The Clean Fuels and Electric Vehicles Report, and the bimonthly newsletter Hybrid Vehicles. Mr. Cannon holds an AB degree in chemistry from Princeton University and an MS degree in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives with his family in Boulder, Colorado.
