A Port's Perspective on Air Quality Issues in Ports and Port Towns

Howard is professionally qualified as a Chartered Civil Engineer. He worked for a development corporation and then the wider water industry managing multi-million pound projects in sea defence, flood alleviation, water supply and waste water reclamation. Howard joined the Port of Dover in 1985 to carry out major port-related civil engineering works and has since held a number of senior positions at the port. In recent years he has developed the area of liaison with external stakeholders and the wider community, and heads up a team whose work this is. Howard has a particular responsibility for matters related to informing and influencing Westminster and Brussels. He is currently Vice President of the Federation of Regional and Local Channel Ports (French and English).
