The 31st Annual Event the future of propulsion! was held in association with BIMCO and SEAaT, at the Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark, 26 & 27 May 2009.

The event was supported once again by BIMCO, the world's largest private shipping organisation which has 2720 members worldwide and SEAaT, the cross industry body of shipping and oil industry members working for cost-efficient ways to reduce harmful ship emissions. The Chairman for the 31st Annual Propulsion & Emissions Conference 2009 was John Aitken, Secretary General of SEAaT(The Shipping Emissions Abatement and Trading Society).
