The German Shipowners Association Verband Deutscher Reeder (VDR) represents the common economic and socio-political interests of the German shipowners on national and international level. The VDR represents about 250 member shipping companies thus covering the largest part of the German merchant fleet. Mr. Frank Leonhardt of the shipping company Leonhardt & Blumberg is President of the VDR, Dr. Hans-Heinrich Noell and Mrs Uta Ordemann are both Managing Directors.
