Keynote address confirmed
Carlo Raucci, a principal consultant at UMAS has confirmed his attendance at Propulsion & Future Fuels 2019, held from 19-21 November at the Sofitel Hotel Hamburg Alter Wall.

The study will identify the conditions that will need to happen to achieve a transition towards a decarbonised shipping industry, mapping potential transition pathways (milestones, enablers and barriers) that a wide range of shipping stakeholders can use to guide their own strategies.
Carlo is a developer of the 'Global Shipping Model' from the University College London (UCL) and author of several publications on the decarbonisation of the shipping industry. Carlo holds a PhD in Energy and Transport from UCL on the potential of hydrogen as fuel for shipping. He is a researcher and consultant advising private companies, organisations and governments on various aspects of the transition to and investment in zero-emissions vessels. Carlo is co-author of the 3rd IMO GHG Study and the Assessment of Fuel Oil Availability Study that informed the International Maritime Organisation’s decision on the global 0.5% sulphur limit.
