The conference brings together the whole shipping community and is a platform for the exchange of information on the latest future fuel mix and predictions of future trends.

With key emissions targets set in 2020 and 2050, there has never been a better time to learn from the experts who are surging towards significant reductions in carbon emissions. This year’s conference concentrates on ‘Powering shipping’s emissions-cutting ambitions’, addressing the ways in which practical and technical developments in the fields of propulsion technology and alternative fuels are offering more solutions than ever to the shipping industry.

Top level keynotes for a landmark conference

The opening session on Wednesday 14th November will provide delegates with Keynote addresses from Harry Conway, Vice Chairman, MEPC (Marine Environmental Protection Council), IMO and Thomas S. Knudsen, Senior Vice President – Head of Two-Stroke Business, MAN Energy Solutions. This will be followed by a shipowner panel who will be tackling the topic of investing in the future fleet.

Future Fuel mix crucial to owners, operators, manufacturers and more

After a networking lunch and the chance to meet the many industry leaders and sponsors attending this year’s event, delegates will have the chance to hear from a range of experts, from shipowners to fuel specialists, in the session on ‘understanding the future fuel mix’. Among the speakers in this session are Dr Gerd-Michael Wuersig, Business Director Alternative Fuels, at DNV GL – Maritime, Business Development. Gerd will be joined by Steve Bee, Group Commercial & Business Development Director, Veritas Petroleum Services and Sjaak Klap, V.P., Business Development Department, Spliethoff.
